About the Inventor
John Morrison is a professional Mariner who has worked on sail training vessels for over 8 years.
As a deckhand and petty officer John worked as a sail trainer, public relations officer, boatswain,
engineer, and restoration project manager.
He became a licensed Master (Captain) in May of 2005 and since then
has worked as Chief Mate and Master aboard the Lady Washington, and Hawaiian Chieftain.
When Evergreen State College teamed up with the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority for
a credited sail training pilot program in the spring of 2007,
John was asked to be Chief Mate and primary sail trainer for the program.
John is currently entertaining an offer to be Marine Operations Manager for the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority.
